The mission

Design the platform that lends fairly.

Design the loan application platform and the front-end website for Snippet Finance. Snippet helps employees access financing on fairer terms.

By deducting a small amount (a “snippet”) from salary each month towards loan repayment, Snippet provides an affordable way to consolidate debt or top up finances when needed. Here is some of the work.

The system

One site, one platform, every screen.

The marketing pages, the employee journey and the application flow share one clean visual language, from the laptop down to the phone.

Isometric overview of the Snippet screens: a laptop with the website hero, an employee dashboard with a chart, a tablet and a phone with the loan app, and several blue and white landing pages.
The application

How much would you like to borrow?

The application is a short, guided flow of four steps. Each screen asks one thing, shows progress at the top and keeps the amount, the term and the next action in view, on a laptop or on a phone.

Snippet loan application on desktop, step one, Loan terms: a borrowing amount slider set to 1,400 dollars, a term slider set to 16 months, a loan purpose dropdown, a credit score dropdown and Back and Continue buttons.
The same Loan terms step on mobile, with a four-step progress bar at the top and the same sliders and dropdowns stacked in one column.

Step 1 of 4, Loan info, on desktop and mobile.

Two regions

One entry, two sites.

The first screen explains the idea in a few lines, then lets visitors pick their region, the US site or the Japanese one, so the same product speaks both languages.

Snippet mobile entry screen: the headline Helping People to Raise their Financial Wellbeing, a short description, US Site and JP Site buttons and a photo of people playing tug of war.
A tablet resting by a swimming pool, showing the Snippet loan terms step with a borrowing amount slider.
The Japanese version

Same flow, localised for Japan.

The Japanese site keeps the structure and the guided steps, and adapts the details: yen amounts, Japanese labels, a start-date field and a co-branded header with 横浜銀行 (Bank of Yokohama) under the FuturePay name.

Japanese mobile home screen: the FuturePay headline, buttons for employees and employers, and a photo of a smiling worker in a hard hat, under the Bank of Yokohama logo.
Japanese Loan terms step on mobile: amount in 10,000-yen units, a 16-month term, loan purpose, start date and the buttons Back and Next.
